One Hundred weeks ago, we introduced graphic artist Lucas Varela to the creative team at the Financial Times to illustrate 'The National Conversation', a regular column by Robert Shrimsley.
This week, to celebrate the milestone, Lucas and Robert got together to pick some of their favourite images from nearly two years of collaboration, which you can view now on the FT site.

This year we've been curating a rotating gallery at Seven publishing in Clerkenwell, displaying massive A0 prints of our artists wares on the walls inside their building (you can see past shows here).
This season however, we decided to mix things up a little, and have included work by not only our own Aesthetic Apparatus and a series of works by Lyndon Hayes, but also a number of undiscovered talent we've been working with recently.

Wired Magazine have this month released The World In 2013 Special Edition issue, crammed full of the kind of scientific prophesying and intellectual rhetoric that makes your head spin whilst simultaneously providing inspiration. It's also chock full of great illustration, including our own Leandro Castelao, who handled the Science chapter.
Each spread (which you can view below) covers a different corner of the modern science world, from open source research to better calculate pay cheques to the genome sequencing of the human brain, how religion and science interlink, and using prime numbers in quantum physics to better protect your credit cards.

We often post articles on the long running partnership between artist Dragon76 and the NBA, portraying the greats of basketball for everything from t-shirts to editorials.
Three of these images are now available to buy through RareInk, the official web store to buy a huge selection of limited edition art prints, canvas's and screen prints. The three artworks of Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose and David Robinson are each hand signed and numbered, and are available with a number of extra options.

It's fast approaching that time of year already, and to soften the blow Jo Malone have launched their Seasons Greetings campaign to remind you as elegantly as possible.
Japanese illustrator and long time Jo Malone collaborator Yoco created the mural you can see above, which has also been transferred to the branded wrapping paper as seen below. Both these images along with the signature scent can be seen on the official website.

We've just got hold of some photos from a great job thats been completed in the Balaclava area of Melbourne, Australia with artists Wilfrid Wood and Gaku Nakagawa.
Yo-Chi is a new frozen yogurt chain that also has one of the most considered and best looking shop environments I think I've seen. For their new Melbourne store, they commissioned a large mural from Gaku which sits behind the tills, and a new koala mascot who proudly greets customers from the far end of the room.

]]>Today marks the 11th and final round of the World Chess Qualifiers held at Somerset House, London, which followers of the game may have noticed is looking a fair bit slicker than in previous years. The Championship has recently been rebranded by design giants Pentagram, with the opening tournament beautifully decorated with Christian Montenegro's duelling knights.
Qualifying players from the London Grand Prix will go on to the later stages in Tashkent, Lisbon, Madrid, Berlin and Paris, before a winner is crowned World Champion.

Today we were lucky enough to have a sneak peek at some beautiful screen prints, designed by Noma Bar to celebrate the reissued backlist of infamous Japanese author Haruki Murakami, each lovingly hand printed by the great guys at London Print Club.
The sharp looking book series, encompassing a huge number of novels, essays and collections from more than twenty years, will be available through publisher Random House from the 4th of October.
