Noma Bar will be taking part in the PechaKucha talk at the Design Museum following his Cut/It/Out project being featured in the Design of the Year awards, which is currently on display there.

Noma, along with the list of other presenters, will have to curate twenty images for twenty seconds each, a format thats known to keep the event lively and fast paced.

The theme for the night is British Design, and also includes talks by Bryan Edmondson (SEA Design), Doireann Ni Ghrioghair (Artist), Gemma Curtin (Design Museum Curator), Jim Stephenson (Architectural photographer), Mike Abrahams and Amanda Tatham (Designer Breakfast), Nick Haley (BBCUX&D), Partick O'Shea (Design historian), Pete Collard (Design Programme Advisor for the British Council), Simon Stacey (Household) and Tim Beard (Bibliotheque).

The celebrated brand has been a house hold name since it's original flagship store opened in a residential part of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1882. The name has become synonymous with high quality garments and fashion, and now has eight stores around the UK, as well as the Bentalls and William & Griffin stores.

Yoco's elegant images decorate various sections of the new site, and include renderings of their shop fronts around the country, some of which you can also view below.

If you or someone you live with has an allergy or intolerance to certain foods, you'll know that cooking can easily become a far less than enjoyable chore. A new cookery book released today however, The Intolerable Gourmet by Pippa Kendrick, provides a huge selection of safe and trusted recipes for all kinds of meals.

The book is also divided into seasonal food groups, each of which is beautifully illustrated by Petra Borner, all of which you can see below. These classifications are not only useful for those days when you have no culinary imagination, but also promotes responsible farming (although I'm going to assume the carrot cake with lemon fudge icing is meant for all year round consumption).

We are very happy to congratulate artist Marc Burckhardt on winning the Gold Medal Award in the Editorial category of this years Society of Illustrators Annual Exhibition. The winning image which you can see in full below, was part of an article on the practise of over fishing for the American publication of Mens Health magazine.

The Society of Illustrators hosts their Annual Exhibition to showcase work across three categories: Sequential and Uncommissioned, Editorial and Books, and Advertising and Institutional. Currently Marcs category is on display, though only until next monday, so be sure to have a look round if you in New York this week.

Wilfrid Wood has been working with creative agency Fallon on the latest Orange campaign, designing and creating a team of super-stealthy ninjas whose sole purpose is to keep their customers entertained.

The project promotes Oranges new swappable app subscription service on their Panther tariff. The Ninjas themselves were designed by Wilfrid, who then hand made a set of figures for web and print advertisements, shot by photographer Leandro Farina.

The Ninjas, in the form of some fantastic costume tailoring based on Wilfrids original figures, also appear in the latest TV commercial. Check out the video below, where time is slowed down enough to see them at work.

Held at the Galleria Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea, SHOUT has a number of pieces on display in the project area known as "The Circus", while the main gallery space holds work by Taxali.

The show opens tonight at 18:30 local time, where both artists will be in attendance for book signings, and there will also be a limited series of monographs on sale from both of the artists through art publisher 27_9.

Here lies the concept behind the latest campaign for American clothing chain JCPenney, created by Mother New York and illustrated by typographer Joel Holland, to promote the brands new price structure launched this month. Joel's defiant artwork, which you can see more of on Mother NY's homepage, ties in with a TV add where the shoppers have simply had enough. Be warned, it gets pretty loud.

The new campaign and price structure also joins a rebranding of the chains logo, and plans for new store layouts and in store marketing events. So if you live stateside, keep your ears to the ground, and your eyes on Joel's handiwork.

Today marks the fruition of a project long in the making for artist Kustaa Saksi, as the children's book Haapaneitty, Mettänyttö is released in Finland.

The project, fully illustrated by Kustaa throughout, follows the adventure of a young boy named Eino as he follows a cat through a large forest. Kustaas hyperdelic image making draws you in to a fully immersive story telling experience, as the book is also accompanied by a CD featuring a soundtrack to read along with.

The book is authored by Arja Puikkonen, the soundtrack composed by Kirmo Lintinen, and released by Finnish publisher Nemo.
